Kyra is an experienced trial attorney who has litigated over 40 trials. From the age of seven, Kyra knew she wanted to be a criminal defense attorney. Kyra began her career as an Air Force Judge Advocate before deciding to make the move into private practice. Kyra Palmer is an exceptionally skilled litigator with over fifteen years of experience in the courtroom. Ms. Palmer has litigated over 40 cases, winning numerous jury verdicts. Her primary practice areas include criminal defense and military law.
Prior to joining Aviso, Ms. Palmer served as a Judge Advocate in the Air Force for over twelve years. During her time on active duty, Ms. Palmer served as a prosecutor, an area defense counsel, and a senior defense counsel, litigating some of the most complex cases in the Air Force ranging from simple drug possession to premeditated murder. Ms. Palmer was rated the number one senior defense counsel in the Air Force. Ms. Palmer continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves JAG Corps.
Following her departure from active duty, Ms. Palmer worked at a firm in Colorado Springs focusing on civil litigation and dependency and neglect cases. After working in civil litigation for over a year, Ms. Palmer decided to go back to what she loves best and joined Aviso to pursue her passion in criminal defense.
